By assessment · Director Coach Emil

The hardest program we run.

A comprehensive training pathway built on three things: respect, effort and discipline. You do not sign up for High Performance. You are assessed, and you are either admitted or told what to go work on first.

What we ask

Respect. Effort. Discipline.

Three words that decide whether a player belongs on this track. Talent is the easy part.

Respect

For coaches, for teammates, for opponents, and for the standard the group is held to. It is not optional here.

Effort

Full effort on every ball, in every session, including the ones on a Tuesday in February when nothing is at stake.

Discipline

Showing up, competing on schedule, and doing the work between lessons. Progress here is measured, not assumed.

Admission

Getting in is not automatic.

Every player is evaluated before a place opens up, and every player keeps competing once it does.

  • Skill assessment: on court, with the director watching.
  • UTR rating: your Universal Tennis Rating is part of the decision.
  • Director approval: Coach Emil makes the final call on every placement, and he weighs coachability and the desire to succeed as much as strokes.
  • Mandatory USTA tournament play: competing is a condition of the program, not a bonus. So is arriving at every session on time and ready to practice.

The tiers

HP1, HP2, HP Varsity.

Three tracks with different entry points. The numbers below are requirements, not targets.

Entry level

HP1

The entry point to the competitive track, for players with exceptional competencies. Players move up through written competency benchmarks, supported by video resources, and complete the USTA Green Dot Ball tournament progression on the way to HP2.
